Mo' Fish

Someone explain to me why the world is not flipping over 'More Fish'

Ghost is a genius. I needed some new joints for my train ride to DC this weekend.

Do you really expect the world to flip over More Fish or just wish that they would?

Ghost is a niche artist, part of that "long tail" you frequently reference.

He's swung for the fences and mass audience appeal with records like "Back Like That" and "Tush" with features by big artists like Ne-Yo and Missy and missed. If those didn't work, I don't know what would.

I think Fishscale is a better overall album in terms of consistency, but More Fish definitely has some joints. I think what makes Ghost such a great artist is his ability to consistently create straight HIP HOP albums, without depending too heavy on the commercial singles. He is like the last of a dying breed. Nowadays, cats give you albums with all radio records (a.k.a. potential singles). Ghost will give you maybe 2 radio records, and 14 more tracks of gutta hip hop. Cats in the mainstream don't make music like that anymore, with the exception of Nas, who is somewhat in a class by himself.
